NESSA MORGAN TO RELEASE HER SOPHOMORE ALBUM, 'NESKA' NOVEMBER 1, 2008Monday 06th Oct 08 11:29:58 pm |
After a stunning debut album and a tour with Alicia Keys, vocal
powerhouse NESSA MORGAN returns to the Australian music scene with her
long awaited sophomore album titled NesKa (her childhood nickname).

"This album carries more hip hop / urban feel with my soul
flavours over the top. There’s torment, pain, relationship issues …but
also love and sex…" Nessa Morgan.
Nessa Morgan presents NesKa, a contemporary R&B album featuring
slick hip hop grooves, cutting edge production (by the likes of Shannon
Sanders and XP) and irresistible hooks. Working on
the NesKa project led Grammy Award winning Shannon Sanders to proclaim
Nessa as “The Official Voice of Soul Downunder”.
The first single, “Like it Like That” was nominated for Best R&B
Single at the 2007 Urban Music Awards. The next
single scheduled to be serviced to radio and iTunes, “Treat My Baby
Rite”, is a wicked 90s influenced R&B song with a tuba
inspired hook that will have fans grooving along and provide a fresh
new sound for radio. This will appeal to fans that Nessa gained
with her signature tune, “Simple Kinda Woman’ and gain many new
ones. At the same time, in keeping with her NesKa alter
ego, another track from the NesKa album titled “Hot &
Sexy” will be released to the clubs and dance radio.
In 2004, Nessa stunned the country with her voice, her grooves, her
style and her attitude when she released her debut CD, ”Sex &
Poverty” produced by Don Was. A national tour supporting Alicia Keys
cemented Nessa’s position as one of Australia’s most exciting live
performers. She has performed on big festival stages locally and
overseas and has appeared on morning television in many states in the
US.
Nessa will be supporting the release of her album with performances
around the country, including a Salt n Pepa support tour early
November. Shortly after that Nessa will return to the US to wrap
up an overseas deal.
She is sexy, she is cool and she knows what you want to hear … Nessa is
about to take centre stage and do what she does …..because she can!

As Nessa Morgan's sophomore album, NesKa is being readied for release
next month, another hot song is landing on radio desks now...'Treat My
Baby Rite' is a wicked 90s influenced R&B song with a tuba inspired
hook that will have fans grooving along and provide a fresh new sound
for radio. The song is produced by Grammy Award winning producer,
Shannon Sanders (India Arie, Johnny Lang, Young Buck) who proclaimed
Nessa as "the Official Voice of Soul Downunder" after working with her
in Nashville.
Nessa was scheduled to tour with Timbaland on his Shock Value Tour of
Australia and NZ, but after a disappointing no-show by the superstar
producer, Nessa is putting on a showcase night at the Gaelic on
