 After a stunning debut album produced by the legendary Don Was and
a tour with Alicia Keys cementing her as one of Australia’s most
exciting live performers, vocal powerhouse NESSA MORGAN returns to the
Australian music scene with not one, but two albums.
Nessa Morgan presents... NesKa: Grown & Sexy (INSTORES
JULY 5) is an album in which Nessa co-produces and explores her naughty
R&B urban alter ego, Neska. The album features slick hip hop
grooves, cutting edge
production (by the likes of Shannon Sanders and XP) and irresistible
hooks. Working on the NesKa project led Grammy Award winning Shannon
Sanders to proclaim Nessa as “The Official Voice of Soul
Downunder”.
“Like it Like That”, the first single from NesKa:Grown & Sexy was
nominated for Best R&B single at the last Urban Music Awards. A remix by NZ rap crew 4 Corners and Justice & Kaos
appears as a bonus track on the album. The
current single, “Take That” is currently being added around the country
with The EDGE 96.1fm in Sydney and Joy FM in Melbourne adding it
immediately.
A prolific songwriter, Nessa is also releasing All Beautiful,
a more organic raw soul album comprised mainly of writing sessions a
little later this year. The first track to be released off this
album and one of only a few 'produced' tracks featuring on the album is
a classic soul/rock anthem, “The New (Time for a Change)”, which has
been garnering support at AC stations around the country including ABC
Radio and regional stations.
“The New”, written by Nessa Morgan and soul rock legend Diesel (who
also produced the track), is a gospel-tinged rock song celebrating hope
in times of change.

"The New" is available on iTunes now. All Beautiful is a collection of first takes, writing sessions
and classic songs. The lyrics explore a woman’s journey through
troubled relationships, struggle, work, jealousy, suspicion,
infidelity, temptation, arguments and apologies. The album’s
centrepiece is a moving ballad "Helpless", written in Nashville after
Nessa had received word her mother was critically ill in an Australian
hospital. The original writing session appears on the album.
Nessa will be performing at concert venues nationally to promote “All
Beautiful”. She will also be promoting The NesKa: Grown & Sexy
project through special guest appearances at nightclubs around the
country. “All Beautiful” will be officially launched
May 31 at the Northcote Social Club. The NesKa:Grown & Sexy album
is launched later that night at hot Melbourne R&B venue,
Seven.
